Summary: The Business Analyst role at The ExtraCare Charitable Trust in Coventry involves understanding and prioritizing business requirements from various stakeholders within the Connect (Housing Management) Programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and prioritize business requirements from multiple stakeholders.
- Interpret and simplify business requirements for management analysis.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Recommend solutions and create change management proposals to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with project/programme managers to implement solutions aligned with business goals.
- Gather intelligence on business needs and convert them into technical requirements.
- Produce end-to-end business process models (As Is, To Be, and transitional states).
- Identify risks in current and proposed IT systems.
- Evaluate business development and IT strategies for improvement opportunities.
- Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and test plans.
- Ensure plans are in place to evaluate the impact of changes made.
- Develop training materials to enhance process efficiency.
- Support the creation and maintenance of standards and ways of working.
Key Skills:
- Effective interpersonal skills for establishing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to present cases persuasively at all organizational levels.
- LEAN, IT, and/or Change Management Qualification preferred.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate or equivalent considered.
- Experience in creating functional specifications based on business needs.
- Track record of redesigning business processes for improved performance.
- Experience in large-scale system implementation projects, particularly Housing Management Systems.
- Familiarity with core business analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of team challenges and ability to develop solutions.
- Previous experience in the housing sector is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics solutions, Power Apps, and Power Platforms is advantageous.
