Summary: The Digital Business Analyst for the Common Data Environment (CDE) will play a crucial role in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and analyzing workflows to improve data management processes. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful implementation and support of CDE and BIM platforms. The role also involves validating solutions and providing training to users, ensuring smooth adaptation to new digital environments. The position is contract-based and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document detailed business and technical requirements for CDE and BIM platform use.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, managing expectations and aligning project objectives.
  • Map and analyze existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements.
  • Support data integrity and quality through standards enforcement and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate technical solutions with IT and CDE/BIM specialists, providing training and documentation for users.
  • Address ongoing issues post-implementation to ensure smooth adaptation to new digital environments.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with enterprise software implementations.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Experience in the energy sector.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

Required Qualifications

  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (project managers, technical teams, end users) to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Document both functional and non-functional requirements clearly for CDE and BIM platform use.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Facilitate communication between business teams (architects, engineers, contractors) and technical teams (software developers, IT support).
  • Manage expectations, negotiate priorities, and ensure alignment on project objectives and digital workflows.
  • Process Analysis and Improvement
  • Map and analyze existing workflows related to data management and BIM processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies or gaps in data handling, collaboration, and system integration.
  • Recommend enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration using CDE and BIM tools.
  • Data Analysis and Quality Assurance
  • Support data integrity and quality by ensuring that CDE workflows enforce standards for data input, version control, and approvals.
  • Collaborate on developing test plans and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that BIM software and CDE platforms deliver expected functionality.
  • Solution Validation and Support
  • Work with IT and CDE/BIM specialists to validate that technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Provide training support and documentation for users in handling BIM data, collaboration workflows, and CDE systems.
