Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on analyzing business challenges and identifying improvement opportunities within a dynamic organization. The position involves leading analytical efforts on complex projects and contributing to strategic change initiatives, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and engage stakeholders to drive efficiency and measurable benefits. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Manchester/Rochdale with occasional travel to London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical workstreams on large-scale projects and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define measurable benefits aligned with transformation goals.
- Champion business analysis practices across the organisation and mentor delivery teams.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to shape future processes and drive efficiency.
- Identify operational, financial, and technological risks and opportunities.
- Analyse data and reporting to uncover insights and link initiatives to measurable benefits.
- Conduct impact assessments for new project proposals.
- Produce high-quality requirements documentation, including user stories and process maps.
- Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring scope control and solution alignment.
- Translate product vision into actionable backlogs in collaboration with product owners.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, including IT, to manage delivery dependencies.
Key Skills:
- Recognised Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA, Lean Six Sigma).
- Degree in business, finance, economics, or information technology.
- Minimum five years’ experience in business analysis experience with business process outsourcing/Call Centre Service Outsourcing is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in user story mapping, process modelling, and data flow analysis.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritise effectively.
- Desirable experience delivering ERP or CRM systems.
- Background in transformation and change projects within complex environments.
