Summary: The Business Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements and design solutions for digital transformation initiatives in the banking sector. This role demands a strong understanding of banking processes and AWS services to support cloud migration and enhance product performance. The analyst will document business requirements and ensure compliance with banking regulations while facilitating communication among cross-functional teams. The position is contract-based and operates in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for banking products (retail, payments, lending, deposits, compliance, etc.).
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Work closely with development, QA, and cloud teams to design scalable and secure solutions on AWS.
- Support cloud migration initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage AWS services (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
- Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and facilitate requirement-clarification sessions with stakeholders.
- Assist in creating BRDs, FRDs, test cases, and UAT support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data-security practices, and cloud governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance product performance.
- Provide ongoing support, analysis, and reporting for delivered solutions.
Key Skills:
- 4–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking domain.
- Strong understanding of banking operations such as loans, payments, digital banking, cards, risk, or compliance.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud basics (IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, networking concepts, APIs).
- Experience in writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools like JIRA/Confluence.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in cloud migration or fintech transformation initiatives (good to have).
- Knowledge of data analytics or BI tools (good to have).
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar certification (good to have).
