Summary: The role of Business Analyst is a fourteen-month fixed-term contract based in Leeds City Centre, focusing on various projects within Assisted Channels delivery streams. The position requires experience in large-scale transformations, ideally within the financial services sector, and involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will perform business analysis to ensure requirements are understood and effectively delivered. A strong understanding of agile methodologies and technical experience with Dynamics and APIs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform business analysis to ensure requirements and impact of change are fully understood.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Developers, and Testers.
  • Define and plan the analysis approach and assist in defining requirements scope.
  • Utilize BDD for requirements elicitation and consider acceptance criteria.
  • Model selection and requirements definition output.

Key Skills:

  • Strong background in the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven credibility.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience of BDD ways of working.
  • Experience in financial services is desirable.
  • Ability to drive change and manage large-scale transformations.

Your new role

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst on a fourteen-month fixed term contract basis who will be taking on a variety of work within our Assisted Channels delivery streams. The work is highly varied and will involve shaping on projects such as how we can apply new tech within the group. You will be working on the core transformation programme so will ideally have experience working on large scale transformations and ideally in a financial service setting.

Responsibilities

  • Working with a cross functional team including Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Developers and Testers, you will perform business analysis to ensure the requirement and impact of change is fully understood and broken into increments for delivery.
  • You will define and plan the analysis approach, assist in defining requirements scope, definition of elicitation approach with BDD, consider the acceptance criteria, model selection and requirements definition output.

Experience needed

You are an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background of the end-to-end business analysis lifecycle (e.g. from requirements gathering, acceptance criteria to business readiness and delivery). Great people skills, independently driven and an agile mindset are essential to excel in the role. A practical understanding of agile methodology and frameworks is advantageous, but an agile mindset is more important. Experience of BDD ways of working. Experience of working in financial services desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills with proven credibility. Good experience of driving change. Large scale transformation experience.
