Business Administrator (Offshore Wind)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain training compliance for offshore technicians, ensuring certifications remain current and mandatory training is completed within required timescales
  • Arrange training courses with approved training providers and manage associated logistics
  • Monitor occupational medical certification requirements and coordinate renewal appointments
  • Book and manage travel and accommodation for site personnel attending training or business-related activities
  • Raise, manage and track purchase orders for operational activities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and PO limits are maintained
  • Maintain training records, update training matrices and ensure certification documentation is stored correctly within company systems
  • Provide administrative support to site operations and management teams
  • Assist with invoice preparation and submission for operational services, works completed and materials supplied
  • Support workforce planning activities, including the administration of holiday requests and resource schedules
  • Coordinate site facilities requirements, ensuring personnel welfare provisions are maintained
  • Assist with the planning and organisation of safety events, workshops and site meetings
  • Manage company vehicle administration, including servicing, maintenance and MOT scheduling
  • Provide wider business support to logistics, procurement and back-office functions as required
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational delivery

Additional Responsibilities Monthly

  • Produce and submit monthly accrual reports to support financial reporting processes

Six-Monthly

  • Prepare fuel VAT reclaim submissions and supporting documentation

Annually

  • Ensure framework purchase orders are established and maintained for each financial year

Requirements Essential

  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Teams
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment

Desirable

  • Experience within the offshore wind, renewable energy, maritime or wider energy sector
  • Knowledge of operational or maintenance environments
  • Experience supporting site-based or field-based teams

Contract Details

  • Location: Lowestoft
  • Contract: 10-month PAYE contract
  • Hours: 30–37 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid working available
