Summary: The role of Building Surveyor involves providing comprehensive surveying, maintenance, and monitoring services to ensure the safety and operational integrity of land, buildings, and properties. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and condition surveys.
- Prepare reports including defect diagnosis, recommendations, and costings.
- Advise tenants on issues related to damp, mould, and condensation.
- Deliver minor and major building works across various projects.
- Implement planned preventative maintenance and adaptations.
- Manage refurbishments, improvements, alterations, and demolitions.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and fire precaution measures.
Key Skills:
- Experience in construction and maintenance.
- Knowledge of asset management standards (ISO 55000, BS 8544).
- Effective project and programme management skills (Prince2 or similar).
- Ability to deliver a range of building works.
- Strong communication skills for tenant advice.

Provide a comprehensive surveying, maintenance and monitoring service to the level expected of a Surveyor, ensuring that land, buildings and properties remain safe and operational.
Carry out inspections and condition surveys and prepare reports, including defect diagnosis with priorities, recommendations and costings, breaches of legislation, inadequate fire precaution measures.
Candidate to be confident in delivering advice to tenants, in particular around Damp, Mould and Condensation.
Experience of construction and maintenance Knowledge and application of most recent standards for asset management, for example, ISO 55000 and BS 8544 Proven application of effective project and programme management (Prince2 or similar) Proven delivery of minor and major building works on a range of projects including:
