Summary: The Building Surveyor will work with a leading Social Housing provider in North Yorkshire, conducting inspections and surveys of residential properties to ensure high maintenance standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, creating schedules of work, and engaging with stakeholders to address defects. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of residences to diagnose issues and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Carry out various surveys including planned and reactive maintenance, voids, damp and mould, and condensation surveys.
- Create schedules of work based on findings and engage with stakeholders such as contractors and local authorities.
- Listen to and log customer queries during visits, providing a point of referral.
Key Skills:
- Technical qualification such as HNC/RICS.
- Experience in a Social Housing or Local Authority environment, ideally with residential properties.
- Knowledge of repairs, maintenance, disrepair, damp and mould, and voids.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with a diverse range of customers.
