Summary: The role of Building Surveyor involves providing comprehensive surveying, maintenance, and monitoring services within the Public Sector, specifically in the East Midlands. The ideal candidate will have experience in a local authority and will be responsible for conducting inspections, preparing reports, and ensuring properties are safe and operational. This is a full-time, temporary position with an emphasis on delivering both minor and major building works. The client is looking to fill the position quickly, offering competitive pay rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections and condition surveys, preparing reports with defect diagnosis, recommendations, and costings.
- Prepare reports, estimates, specifications, drawings, and work schedules for maintenance work.
- Provide building surveying for the maintenance and management of buildings, ensuring safety and functionality.
Key Skills:
- A minimum of a University degree relevant to Building Engineering and Surveying.
- Full membership of a recognised professional organisation (e.g. RICS, MCIOB, MIET, MCIBSE, or MIMECH).
- Experience in construction and maintenance.
- Knowledge of recent standards for asset management (e.g. ISO 55000 and BS 8544).
- Proven delivery of minor and major building works on various projects.
