Summary: A local authority in Warwickshire is looking for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join their Property Services team on an interim basis. The role involves delivering a full range of building surveying functions, managing maintenance works, and providing project management for various capital works schemes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the full range of building surveying functions across the council’s commercial property portfolio
  • Carry out building condition surveys and develop a Planned Property Maintenance (PPM) programme
  • Manage and prioritise maintenance works
  • Prepare drawings and work schedules for building projects
  • Provide project management for small to complex capital works schemes
  • Prepare future maintenance budgets and liaise with finance teams
  • Support feasibility studies and deliver improvement and investment plans

Key Skills:

  • MRICS qualified – Chartered status is essential
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in building surveying, property maintenance, and asset management
  • Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance planning, building regulations, and construction methods
  • Ability to produce technical drawings and job-specific schedules
  • Proven experience managing a range of projects from concept to completion
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Salary (Rate): £442.43 per day
