Summary: The role of M&E Manager / Building Services Manager involves overseeing mechanical and electrical services installations for a high-end hotel project in Berkshire. The position requires strong leadership in managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will coordinate M&E installations and lead project meetings, contributing to the successful delivery of the project. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage mechanical and electrical subcontractors on site
- Coordinate M&E installations in line with the overall project programme
- Review and assess drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Chair and lead building services coordination meetings
- Ensure high-quality installations while maintaining strict health & safety standards
- Manage commissioning activities and oversee final system handover
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an M&E Manager
- Proven experience delivering large-scale refurbishment projects (£10m+)
- Strong track record managing contractors, programme, and budget
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical services installations
- Solid understanding of BMS and lighting control systems
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating services packages
- Familiarity with MS Project or similar
- Valid SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS certification

We are seeking an experienced M&E Manager / Building Services Manager to join our client's team on a high-end Hotel project near Slough in Berkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a strong project team, taking full responsibility for overseeing all mechanical and electrical services installations from initial coordination through to commissioning and final handover.
