Building Services Manager

Summary: The Building Services Manager will oversee M&E installations across various projects in the North West, North East, and Midlands, including sectors such as prisons, schools, and retail. This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while coordinating with design teams and managing subcontractors. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to deliver high-quality building services. The role is freelance with an ongoing duration and a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee M&E installations by specialist sub-contractors
• Report directly to the Principal Building Services Manager
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and client representatives
• Support commissioning and final handovers
• Deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient building services

Key Skills:

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
• BS and/or Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience managing M&E on large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge of current building services regulations and best practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across multiple regions
