Job Opportunity: Building Safety Project Manager Are you an experienced professional ready to lead the way in building safety? We're looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Building Safety Project Manager to take charge of ensuring the safety and compliance of our housing portfolio. This role is perfect for a skilled project manager with a passion for excellence, innovation, and making a tangible difference in creating safe and secure living environments. What You'll Do Project Leadership: Develop and manage Building Safety Case Files and Safety Case Reports , including applications for Building Assessment Certificates. Building Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections to assess fire and structural safety, with a focus on high-rise blocks, cladding systems, and compartmentation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with fire engineers, surveyors, residents, and other specialists to ensure buildings meet safety standards and requirements. Remediation Oversight: Identify necessary improvements, manage remediation projects, and communicate effectively with residents about safety updates. Innovation in Building Safety: Help implement advanced systems for data collection and management, including leveraging Building Information Modelling (BIM) techniques. Expert Guidance: Provide technical advice on construction methods, materials, and compliance with safety regulations. Resident Engagement: Work with teams to develop effective communication strategies that build confidence in building safety initiatives. What We're Looking For Technical Knowledge: Expertise in building construction, materials, and safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations. Proven Experience: A strong track record in project management, particularly in property maintenance, construction, or housing sectors. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to investigate and resolve complex building issues, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Data and Digital Expertise: Familiarity with using digital tools for managing building safety data and experience implementing "golden thread" solutions. Communication Skills: Confident in preparing reports, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and presenting information effectively. Preferred Qualifications Professional qualifications such as CIOB, RICS, or APM are a plus. Health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate) are desirable.
