Summary: The Building Safety Lead role is focused on overseeing construction safety for a global pharmaceutical client based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The position involves field supervision, risk identification, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols among contractors. The role is part of a 6-12 month contract aimed at maintaining high safety standards in construction activities. Candidates should have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide field level supervision in support of construction safety, monitoring of assurance activities, maintaining performance metrics, ensuring implementation of construction safety processes and procedures
- Identify daily construction safety risks and work with teams to develop JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and High Risk Activity management program.
- Assure that all contractors are implementing our strategy and safe working practices on site
- Ensures that Contractors are implementing our clients and General Construction Safety Plan and Contractor’s Construction Safety Plan.
- Monitor and assess Contractors’ safety performance. Verify key performance indices (KPIs), leading/lagging indicators, and EHS data submitted by CM firm are accurate, timely and complete.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Experience working with greenfield or brownfield projects
- Experience with CM firms working as an owner’s representative
