Summary: The Building Control Surveyor role involves supporting a local council during a period of increased workload. The position requires a motivated professional registered as at least Class 2B/F with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to assess compliance with Building Regulations and conduct site inspections. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess applications for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
  • Conduct site inspections, documenting findings accurately and professionally.
  • Provide pre-application and general advice on building matters to clients.
  • Undertake enforcement duties, including evidence collection, report writing, issuing formal notices, and preparing cases for prosecution.
  • Investigate contraventions and advise on appropriate enforcement actions.
  • Manage dangerous or dilapidated structures, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to promote the service and ensure satisfaction.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.

Key Skills:
