Summary: This role is for a Building Control Officer in a temp-to-perm position at a new office in Manchester city centre. The position involves managing various administrative and facilities tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the operational needs of the office. The successful candidate will work rotational shifts and be responsible for a range of duties from documentation management to handling emergencies. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use Concept to check for new tasks and upload all documentation where necessary
- Complete all PPM within deadlines
- Ensure RAMS paperwork has been provided prior to work
- Gain quotes from contractors
- Schedule works and update throughout the process
- Obtain reports, manage on-site folders, keep paperwork updated and visible
- Building walk around and cleaning checks
- Manage health and safety and site inductions
- Handle post, deliveries and the franking machines
- Order office and cleaning supplies
- Order catering
- Cover reception and the switchboard when needed
- Handle front line events such as fire alarms, emergency maintenance, power outages, first aid
Key Skills:
- Experience in a similar role; facilities, administration, building compliance, health and safety
- Ability to multitask and handle conflicting demands
- Strong communication and the ability to liaise with various levels of teams
- Experience using Concept or similar and strong PC literacy
- Willingness to move around the building to support where needed
- Able to work independently as you will often be the first or last one in the office

Your new companyThis temp-to-perm opportunity is for a company who have recently moved to new offices in Manchester city centre. This bespoke office will be a hub for the company. You will be working a rotational shift or either 7am till 3:30pm or 10:30 till 7pm, Monday to Friday. Your new role
