Summary: A leading engineering and robotics company is looking for an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Build Technician for a 12-month contract in Bristol. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble precision mechanical and electrical components to engineering drawings
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on optical and mechanical assemblies
  • Kit components for builds in line with technical documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers to build and improve test rigs using rapid prototyping tools (e.g. 3D printing, laser cutting)
  • Run basic software scripts for testing purposes
  • Inspect incoming mechanical parts and ensure compliance with drawings
  • Document QA and build procedures clearly and accurately
  • Manage goods-in and organise outbound shipments
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and positive workshop environment

Key Skills:

  • HNC or higher in a relevant technical field
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Strong assembly and mechanical inspection experience
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards and traceability processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance focus
  • Flexible and solution-oriented with strong communication skills
