Summary: The BSA Testing Analyst role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and OFAC regulations through quality testing and review processes. The analyst will evaluate BSA Operations work, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. This position requires collaboration with compliance teams and staying updated on regulatory changes. The role can be performed remotely or in San Antonio, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and grade work completed by BSA Compliance Operations using established grading scripts
- Validate processes related to Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and fraud-related investigations
- Conduct quality testing of alert scenarios, systemic alerts, and manual referrals
- Ensure adherence to BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements
- Analyze transactional data to detect and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing activities
- Refer unusual or out-of-pattern activity for further investigation and potential regulatory reporting
- Document findings and report outcomes to management
- Provide written feedback to internal teams and propose process improvements
- Maintain accurate records of quality reviews and testing results
- Work closely with compliance teams to enhance workflows and efficiency
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Recommend solutions to monitor, detect, or prevent illicit activities
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in BSA/AML/OFAC compliance, quality testing, or related roles
- Hands-on experience with SAR filing, CTR preparation, and AML investigations
- Proficiency in compliance systems such as DNA, Verafin, ProfitStars/Jack Henry, WireExchange/PaymentsExchange, and OnBase
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
