Summary: The Team Manager for Bromley's Children and Family Hub Team will lead and inspire a group of social workers to ensure optimal outcomes for children and families. This role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing assessments and interventions, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies. The role is based in Bromley and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Social Workers & Practitioners
- Ensure high-quality assessments, interventions, and casework
- Oversee Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Early Help cases
- Chair strategy meetings & multi-agency planning discussions
- Support staff through regular supervision, training, and mentoring
- Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and safeguarding procedures
- Manage performance, workloads, and risk assessments across the team
- Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate effective services for families
Key Skills:
- Experienced Team Manager with at least 2+ years in management
- SWE Registered Social Worker with a relevant qualification
- Proven track record of managing child protection & safeguarding cases
- Strong leadership, supervision, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment
- Knowledge of Children's Act, Working Together to Safeguard Children & relevant policies
