Summary

This role focuses on automating gallery workflows for live broadcast environments, ensuring seamless support for live and near-live productions.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot automated rundown-driven workflows, including:
  • Vision mixer control
  • Graphics triggering
  • Clip and source recall
  • Support live and near-live productions, ensuring automation behaves predictably during editorial and time-critical changes.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and operational readiness for automation updates, templates, and gallery changes.

Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ross OverDrive and Caprica in live broadcast environments
  • Proven understanding of newsroom-to-gallery workflows using OpenMedia, Ross Inception, and iNews
  • Deep understanding of MOS workflows and editorial metadata flow
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across editorial, automation, and gallery layers during live output

Desirable

  • Experience in news production environments
  • Understanding of how graphics systems (VizRT, Chyron, Unity) integrate with studio automation
  • Familiarity with template-based automation design and gallery standardisation
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS) and modern operational practices
