Summary: The Braking Systems Project Engineer role involves working with a specialist client in the supercar industry, focusing on the design and engineering of braking systems. The position is a long-term contract with hybrid working arrangements, requiring expertise in various braking components and systems. The engineer will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions and ensuring optimal brake performance through innovative design and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engineering solutions for vehicle optimized braking systems.
  • Develop and specify GD&T data sets on CAD models or drawings.
  • Create presentation materials for design reviews.
  • Maintain and update the section book.
  • Support interface with styling.
  • 3D package modeling.
  • Define test standards for pedal box and pedal/booster systems.
  • Manage SAP part structuring and component engineering part releases.
  • Oversee brake performance and validation processes.
  • Work with brake discs, calipers, EPB, pipes, hoses, and cooling systems.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with brake discs and calipers.
  • Knowledge of EPB systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Catia V5/V6.
  • Understanding of cooling systems and 3D printed materials.
  • Ability to deliver engineering solutions based on performance data.
  • Experience in creating technical specifications and validation processes.
  • Strong communication skills for design reviews and presentations.
  • Experience with GD&T and dimensional management studies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and assembly teams.
  • Experience in automotive engineering, particularly in high-performance vehicles.
