Summary: The BPM Developer role focuses on designing and developing applications and workflows using Opentext MBPM (Metastorm) within a banking environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding business requirements and designing applications/workflows in Opentext MBPM (Metastorm).
- Programming in Visual C#.NET using Oracle and SQL Server databases and APIs.
- Conducting unit testing and quality assurance (QA) for applications.
- Supporting existing Opentext MBPM (Metastorm) applications.
- Following change management control procedures for production updates.
- Defining database objects and interacting with SQL and Oracle Database Administrators.
- Providing scripts for database enquiry languages (T-SQL and PL/SQL) for data analysis.
- Setting up system distribution methods for Citrix and application servers.
- Updating versions of Opentext MBPM, MS .Net Framework, and MS Visual .NET platform.
- Liaising with support teams to resolve system problems experienced by business users.
- Assessing data processing loads on SQL and Oracle databases and finding alternative solutions.
- Coordinating with the Release team to roll out changes and maintain change history.
Key Skills:

Tasks Understanding business requirements, designing applications / workflows in Opentext MBPM (Metastorm), business data analysis, programming in Visual C#.NET using both Oracle and SQL Server database and APIs, Unit testing, Quality Assurance (QA), Implementation, Production and Disaster Recovery environments supporting users and preparing documents.
Apart from the application development, this role will also include supporting the existing Opentext MBPM (Metastorm) applications.
This role also requires following the Development Teams "Change Management Control procedures" to get proper and appropriate approvals prior to production updates.
Designing applications / processes in Opentext MBPM (Metastorm)
Defining database objects required in the systems. Interactions with the SQL and Oracle Database Administrators in both London and New York.
Providing script for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle) so that data analysis can be performed based on requirements from relevant business parties.
Support setting up a system distribution method for Citrix and application servers for both Web and Window applications.
Following the development teams' programming policy and procedures to maintain common programming practice.
Updating versions of Opentext MBPM (Metastorm), MS .Net Framework and MS Visual .NET platform to include any necessary changes of the existing systems running in Production environment.
Liaising with the relevant support teams such as other Development team sections, Technical Support, Network and Infrastructure and DBAs whenever Business users experience system problems.
Assessing the impact of data processing loads on SQL and Oracle databases and when appropriate, finding alternative solutions.
Actively assisting rolling out changes through coordination with the Release team. It is also very important to maintain the change history of the applications.
