Summary: As a BP141/SR141/TP141 Commissioning Engineer, you will be instrumental in the execution of 400kV substation projects, primarily based in Newcastle with occasional site visits. Your responsibilities will include leading commissioning meetings, managing interfaces with National Grid, and overseeing project commissioning processes. This role offers a competitive daily rate and the potential for contract extensions. The position is outside IR35, allowing for flexible engagement terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main commissioning interface with National Grid.
  • Attend and lead commissioning meetings, ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders.
  • Manage commissioning documentation, schedules, and compliance with NG standards (BP141, SR141, TP141).
  • Coordinate across 6–7 live 400kV substation projects.
  • Support the safe and timely delivery of commissioning works.
  • Provide reporting and assurance to senior project teams.

BP141/SR141/TP141 Commissioning Engineer - National Grid 400kV Substation Projects - Newcastle, England, United Kingdom (office based with occasional site visits) - £Excellent Daily Rate + Expenses - 12 Month Contract + Rolling Yearly Extensions - ASAP Start Date (can wait as late as October/November) - Monday to Friday (optional weekend work) - Outside IR35

As a BP141 / SR141 / TP141 Commissioning Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of 400kV substation projects, focusing on:

  • Leading commissioning panel meetings.
  • Managing the interface with National Grid.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the project commissioning processes across multiple schemes.

You’ll be primarily office-based in Newcastle, with occasional site visits, providing you with a consistent base while still being directly engaged with project delivery.
