Summary: The BoM Engineer will join the Product Information team on a contract basis in Gaydon, focusing on the creation, configuration, and validation of Bills of Material (BoMs) for various vehicle lines. This role is crucial in the early stages of programme development, ensuring accuracy and completeness of BoMs across global manufacturing facilities. The position requires collaboration with Engineering teams and conducting quality checks to support programme gateways. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in BoM management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the setup and modification of Bills of Material in both legacy and future systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams across Centres of Competence (CoCs) to guide and support BoM creation.
- Conduct quality checks including commodity audits and large-scale validation events.
- Challenge inputs and proactively gather information from stakeholders to ensure BoM accuracy and completeness.
- Support programme gateways by delivering coherent and validated BoMs.
Key Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience with BoM management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
