Summary: The Body Test Operations IPC Engineer role involves overseeing the planning and management of physical prototype test properties for body components in a luxury automotive environment. The engineer will coordinate the end-to-end process for Instrument Panels & Floor Consoles assemblies, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and managing logistics. This contract position is based in Gaydon and requires strong project management and engineering skills. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall end-to-end coordination and responsibility for two models worth of IP&C assemblies from planning through to delivery.
  • Gathering and consolidation of the requirements from the engineering customers.
  • Planning and management of Bills of Materials (BoM) for these assemblies, aligning them to the required build level and part maturities.
  • Coordination and management of parts ordering, rate and flow, part shortage meetings and issue resolution related thereto.
  • Coordination of build planning, rate and flow, and support for property build, resolving issues and coordinating logistics of the properties into test.

Key Skills:

  • Robust and demonstrable Excel skills with understanding of Bills Of Materials (BoMs) and CAD visualisation.
  • Engineering and testing background.
  • Project management with robust cross-functional working.
  • Automotive engineering build and/or test experience.
  • Degree level education desired, but not essential.
