Summary: The Body Test Operations IPC Engineer role involves managing and coordinating the development and testing of body components for a luxury automotive OEM in Gaydon. The engineer will oversee the planning and delivery of Instrument Panels & Floor Consoles assemblies, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements and managing the associated logistics. This contract position requires strong project management and engineering skills, particularly in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage physical prototype test properties for body components development.
- Lead activities related to Instrument Panels & Floor Consoles assemblies.
- Coordinate end-to-end processes for IP&C assemblies from planning to delivery.
- Gather and consolidate engineering requirements for assemblies.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BoM) and align them with build levels and part maturities.
- Coordinate parts ordering, rate and flow, and resolve related issues.
- Support property build logistics and resolve issues during testing phases.
Key Skills:
- Strong Excel skills with knowledge of Bills Of Materials (BoMs) and CAD visualization.
- Background in engineering and testing.
- Project management experience with cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in automotive engineering build and/or testing.
- Degree level education preferred but not essential.
