Summary: The BMS Commissioning Engineer role involves supporting a major project in the Cardiff region through the commissioning, testing, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS). The position requires a strong background in BMS projects, from pre-commissioning to final handover, ensuring systems operate efficiently and meet specifications. The engineer will also be responsible for producing documentation and resolving commissioning issues. This is a 9-month contract classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, test, and optimise Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure they operate efficiently and meet project specifications.
- Produce commissioning documentation, reports, and support final client demonstrations and handovers.
- Diagnose and resolve commissioning issues, making software and control strategy adjustments where required.
- Carry out point-to-point testing, functional testing, and system validation across HVAC plant and associated controls.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years' experience commissioning Building Management Systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and BMS principles.
- Experience working with one or more major BMS platforms.
- Proven track record of delivering commissioning projects on commercial or industrial sites.
- ECS/CSCS Card (or equivalent).
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- SIS Modbus Certification.
