Summary: We are looking for a Blockchain Developer with extensive experience in R3 Corda, Python, Microservices, and Node.js to join a dynamic engineering team focused on enterprise-grade blockchain applications for the financial sector. The role involves designing and deploying blockchain solutions, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring high performance and security in backend services. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for decentralized systems and secure coding practices. This is a contract position based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy blockchain-based solutions using R3 Corda for high-impact use cases.
  • Build and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js, following microservices architecture.
  • Develop and integrate smart contract logic and flows within the Corda framework.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Design APIs, data models, and services ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and follow CI/CD best practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in blockchain and backend ecosystems.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in blockchain development, with a strong focus on R3 Corda.
  • Proficient in Python and Node.js for backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Experience with Corda Flows, States, Contracts, and integration patterns.
  • Understanding of cryptographic principles, distributed systems, and secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL), containerization (Docker), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
