Key Responsibilities:
- Install, relocate, and de-install complex diagnostic and laboratory instruments.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and technical support during installations.
- Work closely with internal project teams to deliver installation projects on schedule.
- Ensure installations meet all health and safety and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the business professionally when working within customer laboratories.
- Maintain accurate documentation and installation records.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and calibration requirements for service activities.
- Share best practice knowledge with colleagues across the wider technical team.
- Attend training to maintain product and technology knowledge.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Engineer in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, or similar discipline.
- Relevant Biomedical Science degree, ONC, HND, City and Guilds diploma, or equivalent.
- Strong electrical, electronic, or mechanical understanding.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide first-level support.
- Strong communication skills when working with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks in a field-based role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Passport required for occasional overseas training.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Biomedical Scientist (Histology) - Field Applications Specialist to join one of our longstanding clients, a global organisation operating within the medical devices diagnostics and pharmaceutical technology sector. This role sits within the customer projects team and will focus on the installation relocation and commissioning of advanced diagnostic and laboratory instrumentation within hospitals laboratories pharmaceutical environments and research facilities across the UK. This is a field based role covering the UK nationally and will require regular travel and overnight stays. Candidates based in the North of the UK would be preferable but this is not essential.
