About FFT Clinician-$65,000-$72,500 + a sign on bonus and a $2,000 longevity incentive

Family & Children's Aid (FCA) is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Clinician to join our Functional Family Therapy program in Danbury.

Position Summary: The Bilingual Clinician works to engage families who are referred to the Functional Family Therapy home-based intervention.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage family in a comprehensive initial assessment of the strengths and needs of the child and family in a collaborative process (i.e, gather information from interviews, observations of interactions and play, reviewed records, collateral sources, and standardized measures).
  • Provide mental health and developmental assessment following the evidence-based model.
  • Engage in weekly individual and group reflective clinical supervision with Clinical Director.
  • Engage actively in all aspects of the Functional Family Therapy Foster Care Learning Collaborative, including in-person/virtual trainings, distance learning curriculum, and specialty trainings.
  • Work closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and other community providers, as needed, to meet the needs of the child and family.

Qualifications And Skills

  • License eligible Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Social Work Graduates with a LMSW test date and/or Temporary Permit are encouraged to apply
  • Professional Counselor and Marriage & Family Therapist graduates, an Associate license is required (LPC-A or LMFTA)
  • Afternoon and evening work hour availability required
  • Valid CT Driver's License and clean driving record required
  • Experience providing in-home therapy highly preferred
  • Spanish Speaking.
