Summary: The role of Bid Manager involves leading the end-to-end bid process within a collaborative team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. The successful candidate will manage major bid opportunities, ensuring the delivery of impactful proposals while working closely with various stakeholders. This position requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex technical and strategic issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in bid campaign management and a background in manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare winning bids and manage the end-to-end bid process.
  • Collaborate with the business development team and manage major bid opportunities through the full lifecycle.
  • Lead bid teams and coordinate inputs from various stakeholders.
  • Implement improved processes and new initiatives in partnership with colleagues.
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of bids, ensuring compliance and sound pricing.
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues.
  • Deliver bids under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in bid campaign management from opportunity identification to project delivery.
  • Background in manufacturing organizations is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable at CEO/Director level.
  • Sound commercial understanding, P&L, and risk management skills.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-work stream opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail and persistence.
  • Strong cross-functional people management and commercial skills.
