Summary: The BI Developer role involves designing and implementing reports and dashboards using Power BI, with a focus on data visualization and communication of insights. The position requires expertise in tabular models and DAX development, along with strong SQL skills. The developer will collaborate with team members and stakeholders while applying Agile methodologies in the BI development process. This is an initial 3-month contract based onsite in Glasgow once every 1-2 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement sustainable reports, dashboards, and data visualizations tailored to align with business requirements.
- Apply an advanced understanding in the design, construction, and optimization of tabular models within Power BI.
- Exhibit proficiency in creating intermediate-level DAX measures to enhance data models and visualizations.
- Effectively communicate data insights and findings to business analysts and internal stakeholders.
- Work cohesively with team members to share and disseminate new Power BI features and established best practices.
- Display an advanced understanding of Agile methodologies, ensuring iterative development and continuous feedback in the BI development process.
Key Skills:
- Strong SQL experience.
- Experience with Data Modelling.
- Microsoft Fabric experience desirable.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Power BI.
- Ability to work with supporting tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
- Proven proficiency in SQL for efficient data querying and manipulation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
