BI Developer

Currently recruiting for a BI Developer to work within one of the Uk's leading defence organisations in Warton.

A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions within an iterative development environment.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to transform and present information into meaningful outputs through reports and visualisations.

Knowledge

• Develop in accordance with a software development lifecycle framework and have experience in working within Agile methodologies using change management and version control software.

Skills

• Competent in development of BI solutions which include Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager, Tableau (where applicable).
• Knowledge and awareness of connecting to data sources and working with data held in a Data Virtualisation (DV) environment or data warehouse SQL.

Qualifications

• They must posses a minimum qualification of a HND in Computing and have a Cognos Analytics Report Studio Advanced certificate or alternative Report writing certificate.
• They must have a good understanding of modelling data using the Kimball methodology and experience in using ETL technologies.
