Summary: This role is for a SC Cleared BI Developer to join a well-established team focused on delivering a significant data management system for a major defence organization. The candidate will leverage their extensive BI, SQL, and data engineering expertise while collaborating with civil servants and end users. The position requires advanced technical skills and experience in government environments adhering to GDS standards. The role is hybrid, with occasional travel to Hampshire, and requires active SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-profile data management system for a major defence organization.
- Utilize advanced expertise in SQL Server, Visual Studio, and SSIS for data management tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with civil servants and end users.
- Set up and configure Power BI Report Server on-premise.
- Ensure compliance with GDS standards in government environments.
Key Skills:
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server (2019, Analysis, Security, Objects, Jobs).
- Advanced experience with Visual Studio (SSIS, SSAS, DAX).
- Advanced skills in SSIS (Package creation, Data ingestion, Data Cleansing & ETL).
- Strong understanding of interaction with SSAS and Power BI Desktop.
- Strong experience using DAX within Tabular Model.
- Advanced experience in Active Directory.
- Experience in setting up and configuring Power BI Report Server (on premise).
- Experience working in Government environments to GDS standards.
- Desirable experience in Military / Defence setting.
- Active SC clearance and UK residency required.
