I am working with an NHS Trust that is moving reporting to a new Data Warehouse. You will provide specialist capacity to keep agreed external reporting working through the transition, then support a review of the wider reporting estate.

The role is for 5 months initially and paying £380-400pd (inside IR35).

Responsibilities

  • Migrate and reconcile the agreed national, commissioning and other external reports, submissions and feeds that depend on the warehouse.
  • Develop agreed reusable semantic model components and help simplify priority portal reports where this supports the migration plan.
  • Assess and migrate the agreed priority reporting outputs
  • Develop required SQL objects and Power BI reports
  • Assess the existing semantic model and implement agreed shared measures and dimensions
  • Catalogue and review portal reports
  • Document, test, release and hand over the work
  • Create a catalogue with report owner, purpose, usage where available, duplication and technical dependencies. Recommend retain, retire, merge or redesign, with reasons.

Essential

  • Strong SQL Server and Data Warehouse migration experience
  • Power BI report and semantic model design, including DAX and performance
  • Dimensional modelling and clear metric definitions
  • Reconciliation, testing and controlled deployment
  • Able to develop solutions directly and explain design decisions to teams
