Summary: The Regulatory SME - Credit Risk role involves leading a gap analysis to ensure compliance with Basel 3.1 and SDDT regulations for a retail financial institution. The position requires collaboration with various business units to assess current practices and identify compliance gaps. The successful candidate will develop a gap closure plan and provide insights on regulatory interpretations. This is a short-term contract focused on credit risk compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the detailed gap analysis between the organization's current practices and the mandates of Basel 3.1 STD rules and SDDT requirements.
- Develop a structured schedule outlining the relevant Basel 3.1 and SDDT calculation and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across various business units to ascertain the current level of compliance and identify any existing gaps.
- Document identified gaps and assess the potential effort required for remediation.
- Stay abreast of emerging industry interpretations and best practices related to Basel 3.1 and SDDT.
- Engage and build relationships with SMEs and business stakeholders across the organization.
- Provide informed perspectives on the interpretation of regulatory requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive gap closure plan, outlining the estimated scope of work and anticipated timelines.
- Effectively utilize personal time and the time of collaborating SMEs.
