Summary: The role of Security Architect focuses on providing security remediation and advisory services within a banking environment. The architect will guide development teams in addressing security issues identified through penetration testing. This is a contract role based in London, requiring three days of onsite work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide developers and architects in remediating pen test findings
- Act as the security conscience in a DevSecOps environment
- Drive improvements in tool security, upgrade sync, and framework migration
- Support and steer SCA integration and SAS deployments
- Secure application migrations to Oracle Cloud and internal IBM-based cloud
- Help implement and secure IBM WTX-based services
Key Skills:
- Banking sector Security Architecture experience is essential
- Strong background in DevSecOps and securing CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on with security remediation, secure SDLC, and tooling
- Knowledge of internal cloud deployments, especially IBM
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud application security
- Familiarity with settlement and payments systems (CHAPS, SWIFT, etc.)

MUST HAVE:
Proven Security Architect experience within a Bank - no exceptions
Deep understanding of CREST, CHAPS, SWIFT, and settlements/payments systems
We're hiring for a contract Security Architect to support security remediation and advisory across a large financial institution. This role is NOT hands-on pen testing - you'll be advising dev teams and solution architects on how to fix and secure issues identified post-pen test.
