Summary: The role of Banking COO, Client Analytics - Vice President involves joining the Business Change and Governance team to manage a critical project focused on financial data management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the data warehouse architecture, including data sourcing, validation, ingestion, and optimization.
- Ensure the data warehouse serves as a corporate resource, integrating outputs with various analytical tools.
- Interrogate the quality of European CIB Banking data and enhance historic data to align with new models.
- Document recommendations through comprehensive business requirements documentation.
- Support the development of robust data models for internal management information and analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve data quality and governance.
- Manage data quality and client hierarchy within Salesforce.

Profile Summary
The successful candidate will join the Business Change and Governance team of the Banking COO team, contributing to a critical project focused on the collation and management of financial data. This project aims to support key strategic decisions and enhance the effective operation of the European CIB Banking business. You will support the Business Change team through the creation of ETL pipelines and automated processes for ingesting and processing financial data, as well as developing, managing and enhancing our Banking COO data warehouse and data models, creating a foundation for internal reporting and analytical purposes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with SQL and Python skills, and knowledge of cloud platforms. You will be a central part of the project driving CPM analysis via the high quality data that you and your colleagues produce. During the project you will be the team’s main point of contact with third party data solution providers, Business Reporting, Finance, Chief Strategy Office and regional data providers, ensuring the data we receive is up-to-date and consistent, and work with those teams to enhance data provision processes and automate where possible.
You Will Duties and Responsibilities
- Have key responsibility over the current and future state of the data warehouse architecture, including data sourcing, data validation, data ingestion, database optimisation, tools, technologies and best practice.
- Lead on and have main responsibility for ensuring the data warehouse can be used as a corporate resource, integrating its outputs with Salesforce, PowerBI, Deaogic, pricing tools and other analytical endpoints where necessary
- Meticulously interrogate the quality of the European CIB Banking data, ensuring all historic data is structured systematically and consistently with a view to enhancing historic data to align with new data model changes.
- Document all recommendations through comprehensive business requirements documentation to be provided to the project team.
- Support the building of new robust data models to support internal management information and analysis, with the purpose of supporting LLM and Gen AI initiatives
- Investigate and work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines to address and improve data quality, leveraging your knowledge of industry best practices.
- Drive changes to improve data governance.
- Continue to enhance relationships with our internal stakeholders, being a key point of contact and SME on data related matters.
- Manage the data quality and client hierarchy within Salesforce, working with our client on-boarding colleagues to ensure consistency between systems.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Proven data analysis experience and maintenance of data systems.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to create queries to extract and build tables.
- Experience in project work and meeting strict deadlines
- End-to-end experience working with ETL tools.
- Strong financial knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts and standards.
- Strong understanding of large dataset interrogation and financial/management information systems.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques and methodologies in a financial context.
- Proven experience with at least one major Cloud Data Warehouse Solution (e.g. Snowflake).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Educated to degree level in a STEM subject with minimum of 5 years of experience in a large financial institution.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Strong team player, confident self-starter with excellent communication skills
