Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and support to children and young people in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the assessment process and delivery of support programmes.
• Attend planning and review meetings and participate in a key person system.
• Ensure quality recording of information in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Work within a shift system including sleepovers and undertake health and safety checks.
• Implement de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies as necessary.
• Promote young people’s participation, structure, boundaries, and routine.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and clean environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and personal development.
• Adhere to Greenleaf Policies and Procedures and conduct oneself professionally.

Key Skills:

• Experience working in a residential children’s home.
• SVQ 3 and HNC in social care or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and sleepovers.
• Full UK manual driving licence and confident driving skills.
• Knowledge of child and young people's behaviours and intervention strategies.
• Willingness to complete training in crisis and physical intervention.
