Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the reconciliation of the bank accounts, including petty cash
- Contribute to team objectives and key performance indicators, meeting agreed time scales for reconciling receipts and payments
- Support on monthly bank reconciliations
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to resolve reconciliation queries
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including Budget Holders, Accounts Payable and external banking partners amongst others
- Escalating issues as they arise to Senior Bank & Receivables Officers and the Bank Reconciliation Team Leader
- Maintain accurate records and ensure systems are kept up to date at all times
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, regulatory and governance requirements
Key Skills:
- The successful candidate will need to have 4+ years of accounts receivable experience
- Have strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong experience of working within a large and complex organisation
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Be confident working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Comfortable working within established controls and governance frameworks

Bank & Receivables Officer – 3 Month FTC – £32K -£34K P/A (pro Rata) – 1 day in London Per week
Cedar Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a large and leading public sector client in London, with the Recruitment of a Bank & Receivables Officer to join their Finance team on a 3-month fixed term contract (high possibility for extension).
The main purpose of the role will be to support on the reconciliation of over 20 bank accounts, including petty cash, helping to minimise transactions held within suspense accounts.
