Summary: The role of Bank Midwife involves leading midwifery care for mothers and babies throughout normal pregnancy, labor, and the postnatal period without direct supervision. The midwife will assess deviations from the norm and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, evidence-based care. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, the largest health organization in Wales. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable, but English speakers are also welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide total midwifery care to mothers and babies throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postnatal period.
- Assess and identify deviations from normal midwifery care and refer to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Deliver high standards of evidence-based care during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Collaborate with the Midwifery Multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent care for women and their families.
