Summary: The role of Bank / Adhoc Paediatric Anaesthetist Registrar involves supporting the development of a day case surgical pathway for paediatric services at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, starting in April 2025. Candidates must be post-FRCA stage 2 or 3 trainees with completed paediatric competencies and must hold EPALS or APLS certifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of a day case surgical pathway for paediatric services.
- Provide anaesthetic care for minor and moderate complexity surgeries for children above the age of 3.
- Ensure delivery of safe and high-quality care in line with hospital standards.
- Participate in the strategic growth of children and young people's services.
- Demonstrate paediatric experience and competencies as required.
Key Skills:
- Post-FRCA stage 2 or 3 trainees with completed paediatric competencies.
- EPALS or APLS certification at the start of employment.
- Level 3 Paediatric Safeguarding knowledge.
- Ability to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
- Commitment to supporting the hospital's paediatric service development.
