Summary: The NHS in Staffordshire Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their Reablement team, offering a full-time contract with the possibility of remote work. The role involves assessing and treating service users with complex needs, providing expert advice on equipment and home modifications, and ensuring a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to home environment.
  • Assessment and treatment in community settings and home visits to support the acute clinical pathway.
  • Providing expert advice and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
  • Recommending adaptations and conducting moving and handling assessments.
  • Delivering a comprehensive Occupational Therapy Service to meet identified occupational and functional needs.
  • Maintaining awareness of safeguarding vulnerable people and ensuring dignity and respect in interactions.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
  • Experience with major adaptations.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB eligibility.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • All required immunisations.
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification.
