Summary: The role of a Band 6 Community Neuro Occupational Therapist in Surrey involves providing rehabilitation and support to adults and older adults with complex neurological conditions. The position requires assessing and treating patients in various community settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This ongoing locum contract offers flexibility and competitive pay, with the potential for extension based on performance. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat patients in community settings including private homes, care homes, and GP practices
- Manage patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS, and other progressive disorders
- Deliver high-quality rehabilitation and support for long-term condition management
- Plan and carry out community visits across the Sutton borough
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records
Key Skills:
- A current and valid HCPC registration
- Strong experience working with neurological conditions
- Previous community rehab experience
- Experience working with both adults and older adults
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently across community settings
- Desirable: A car and valid UK driving licence
- Desirable: Experience using EMIS NHS Smartcard access
