Summary: The Patient Services Administrator role at Birmingham Community Healthcare Foundation Trust involves providing comprehensive administrative support within the dental services at Sandwell Health Campus. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including booking appointments and issuing letters.
  • Answer patient queries and coordinate outpatient clinics.
  • Manage own workload and maintain up-to-date knowledge of services within Specialty Management Groups.
  • Work flexibly within the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Carry out clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the dental service.
  • Rotate with team members to ensure coverage across different Specialty Management Groups as needed.

Key Skills:

  • GCSE/CSE level C or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
  • RSA 2 or equivalent in typing or word processing.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent administrative experience.
  • Previous administrative experience and experience working with the general public.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative to prioritize workload.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to implement new procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Knowledge of information systems such as PAS and RiO is desirable.
