Summary: The Balance Sheet Projects Senior Finance Manager will oversee and manage projects related to the balance sheet, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and process improvements. This role requires strong analytical and project management skills, along with a deep understanding of financial statements and collaboration across finance and technology teams. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working model based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage balance sheet-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, and financial planning, to gather requirements and ensure project success.
- Analyse balance sheet accounts to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide training and support to team members on balance sheet management and project methodologies.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements to enhance balance sheet management practices.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, with a focus on balance sheet analysis and project management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience using project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Google Workspace Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
