Summary: The B1 Engineer role involves leading technical teams in Base Maintenance checks and executing daily tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The position requires a strong background in aircraft maintenance, particularly in Base Maintenance, with responsibilities including defect rectification and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with aircraft systems and structural repairs, as well as relevant certifications. This contract position is set to begin in early January.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead techs on Base Maintenance checks and day to day task execution.
- Handle scheduled and unscheduled maintenance without hand holding.
- Drive defect rectification, investigations, mod work and engineering standards.
- Keep planners and managers informed so the operation stays on track.
- Maintain clean and accurate paperwork across all task cards.
- Uphold safety and quality, manage FOD prevention and general hangar standards.
Key Skills:
- Five plus years' aircraft maintenance experience with at least three in Base Maintenance.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, rigging, component change and mod embodiment.
- Solid structural repair knowledge.
- Confident using all recognised aircraft documentation.
- UK CAA AML or qualifying EASA AML.
- Type and recency on any Airbus or Boeing. Ideally: 737 Classic or NG, 757, 767, A320 family.
