Summary: Excel is seeking UK CAA B1 or B1/C licensed engineers with a type rating on the B737NG for a base maintenance contract in Middlesbrough. The role involves heavy inspections and modification work for a duration of 6 months, starting in late October. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and is classified as outside IR35. Candidates must be current on type and available for the specified start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support base maintenance of B737NG aircraft.
- Conduct heavy inspections including C checks and D checks.
- Perform modification work, service bulletins (SB), and airworthiness directives (ADs).
- Work on a shift pattern of 5 on/3 off/5 on/4 off.
Key Skills:
- UK CAA B1 or B1/C license.
- Type rating on B737NG (similar types may be accepted).
- Experience in base maintenance roles.
- Availability from late October.

Excel have a new requirement for a UK based customer for UK CAA B1 or B1/C licenced engineers with type rating on the B737NG to support base maintenance of the aircraft from late October for 6 months (with on/off shifts).
Based in the North East of the UK you will be involved in heavy inspections - C checks, D checks, modification work, SB and ADs - pretty much everything you would expect within a base maintenance focused role!
This one is OUTSIDE IR35 - so please see below full details of the offer and shift:
Rate: £50 per hour
Hours: 12 per day
Shift of: 5 on/ 3 off/ 5 on/ 4 off
