Azure Solutions Engineer

Summary: The Azure Solutions Engineer role involves working within the Bank Innovation Hub in Basel, focusing on the design and implementation of cloud solutions for innovative financial projects. The position requires collaboration with project teams and internal units to establish a flexible Azure cloud infrastructure. Candidates should have significant experience in software engineering and cloud technologies, with a strong emphasis on open-source solutions. This is a contract position expected to last 12 months, with a likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Bank innovation project teams.
• Support the solution design and implementation of projects in the Azure cloud.
• Liaise with internal units (IT, Corporate Security) to design and implement a flexible foundational Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Provide design and implementation support to the Bank's innovation projects using Azure Cloud services.
• Support the design and implementation of the Bank's innovation projects using best of breed technologies.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure for innovation projects.
• Adopt automation practices (DevOps/GitOps) to support agile and iterative development.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in programming languages (Java, Python, Kotlin, Scala) and solution design.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Azure AD, Azure Resource Management, Azure Subscriptions, Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Experience in open-source stack languages.
• Experience with common backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Node/Express/Koa).
• Experience with continuous implementation and delivery.
• Self-organised and independent with a good level of English.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to adapt to new project teams.
