Summary: The Integration Architect role focuses on leading the design and governance of a central API Management gateway in Azure, with an emphasis on cross-jurisdictional REST APIs. The position requires strong expertise in API design, Azure integration services, and stakeholder engagement. The role is situated within the Strategy & Enterprise Architecture function and mandates valid SC Clearance. The contract is initially for 6 months and is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define solution architecture for a unified API gateway, ensuring security, reliability, and observability.
  • Develop and socialise integration standards, patterns, and publishing guidance for product teams.
  • Embed integration assurance into governance forums (eg TAB) to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work closely with Platform Ops, Engineering CoE, Security, and product teams to onboard new APIs.
  • Maintain dynamic views of the current and target integration landscape using tools such as Ardoq.

Key Skills:

  • Proven background in API architecture and Azure integration services.
  • Strong experience of stakeholder engagement across architecture, delivery, product, and operations.
  • Familiarity with governance processes and tooling (eg Ardoq, Atlassian).

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to lead the design and governance of a central API Management gateway in Azure, supporting cross-jurisdictional REST APIs.
